ElasticSearch (OpenSearch) location

Overview​

ElasticSearch (OpenSearch) storage supports:

  • a subset of queries where no joins are required

The following configuration properties are supported:

  • instanceType AWS instance type for the ES cluster data nodes
  • instanceCount Number of instances in the cluster
  • dedicatedMasterEnabled Enable dedicated master nodes
  • dedicatedMasterCount Use this number of dedicated master nodes (if enabled)
  • masterInstanceType AWS instance type for the ES cluster master nodes
  • availabilityZoneCount Number of AZs to use for cluster node spread. (2 or 3)
  • logging Enable certain types of OpenSearch/ES logging.
note

When using the ElasticSearch storage location as a composite replica storage location for a Depot Dataset, you must set the replicationMode to IMMEDIATE. Async is not supported.

The OpenSearch storage cluster version that Depot uses is 7.9.
